Lindsay Hemminger’s practice focuses on complex civil matters, congressional, internal and government-facing investigations, and high-stakes advocacy in federal and state courts. Ms. Hemminger’s clients have ranged from multinational corporations and nonprofits to public entities and individuals. She maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients involved in the criminal legal system.
Before joining HSHW, Ms. Hemminger was a litigation associate at an international AM 50 law firm in Washington, D.C. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review and a member of the National Trial Team. During law school, Ms. Hemminger interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Offices for the District of Columbia and the District of Maryland, as well as Judge Richard D. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She also served as a student attorney in the Gender Violence Clinic, where she represented clients in sentence-modification proceedings and engaged in legislative advocacy. Ms. Hemminger is a member of the Order of Barristers and Order of the Coif honor societies.
Prior to law school, Ms. Hemminger was a paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She attended Union College, where she was captain of the Swimming and Diving Team.
